Cart Attendant

POSITION SUMMARY

The golf cart attendant works closely with the Assistant and Head Golf Professional on the outside golf operations to assure a smooth transition for guests around the clubhouse. The cart attendant must have excellent listening skills and an eagerness to provide excellent service. Must be flexible in meeting the varying scheduling needs of the course and may be required to work additional hours than scheduled, if necessary. This position requires a highly self-motivated individual who can work with minimal supervision and interact with guests at a high-level.



ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

It must be recognized that all specific duties cannot be listed and that responsibilities will change accordingly as the need arises.

  • This position will acknowledge all guests in a warm, friendly, and professional manner.
  • Responsible for helping with driving range responsibilities if asked to do so.Daily operations of range ball recovery utilizing both mechanical and hand machinery and equipment.
  • Responsible for the collection of, organization of, and cleanliness of all range baskets.
  • Responsible for washing the range balls to maintain their cleanliness and usability.
  • Make sure you have a working radio if one is available.
  • Help keep all working areas including the basement cart storage area attractive, neat, and clean (free of trash and waste).
  • Follow procedures for proper closing of the cart operations.
  • Keep the outside area neat and clean. Do not allow carts to clog passage area.
  • Wash every golf cart after each use. Arrange the carts neatly after having been washed.
  • Inspect the condition of golf carts with specific attention to their cleanliness and appearance.
  • Track and report any broken carts.
  • Responsible for cart cleanliness, cart supplies, cart condition and fueling. This includes the rotation of golf carts to ensure uniform usage amongst the fleet.
  • Assist outing personnel with the setup of golf carts and range operations.
  • Refer all major problems/complaints to a manager on duty.
  • Follow procedures in management of the cart.
  • Responsible for taking care of all trash cans both inside and outside the clubhouse as well as taking the trash to the dumpsters. Power wash the inside of the trash cans as needed.
  • Keep busy as there is always something that can be done. There will be no sitting at the starter stand or in a cart doing nothing. Ask the manager on duty if you don’t know what to do.
  • Perform other duties as required.
  • Adhere to all Pleasant View Golf Course Policies and Procedures.


REQUIREMENTS

  • Flexible availability including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Must be able to clearly communicate with co-workers and guests.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to Stand 6-8 Hours
  • A positive attitude while on the job is also essential.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.
